Barbara Jones, a graduate of Wells College and Brown University, has
directed the Stow Festival Chorus and Orchestra since 1979. She has
studied choral conducting at Westminster Choir College under Franke
Haussman, Joseph Flummerfelt and others. Among numerous large choral
works presented over the years was the first Boston performance in more
than a century of the "Grand Mass in E-flat" by Amy Beach. This
performance was acclaimed by the Boston Globe and has been released on
CD by Albany Records. Barbara also teaches piano in Stow.

A resident of Stow, is well known to audiences of the Stow/Concord
area for over 25 years of solo and chamber music work. He was
born in Vienna and received his training from teachers in a
direct line from Beethoven. Although he was professionally a
physicist, his life-long study and love has been the piano music
of the Classical and Romantic periods.
